Lubbock, Texas is the center of the universe in the middle of nowhere. Here, the flatlands stretch out forever in every direction, but are always bound by an ongoing horizon. This type of duality in Lubbock merges together and inspires musicians like no other place in the world. That's where the blues in Lubbock come from. There's a unique kind of Blues here. It's a blend between the Blues and Texas Country.

The musical roots of Lubbock go back to legends like Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings. The entire state of Texas is known for the style of music known as Texas Country, and its take on the Blues with greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Now, an independent Lubbock musician, John Sprott, has written a new chapter on the Blues, and added his own perspective on the sound of Texas Country. His style of music is a balance of Blues with Texas Country, along with some other elements thrown in for flavor.
